Manchester United have taken a big step forward in their pursuit of Geovany Quenda, with sources confirming he is keen on a move.

The highly-rated Sporting Lisbon wing-back is eager to link up again with Ruben Amorim.

United are undergoing major internal restructuring, with the club’s new ownership aiming to cut costs while improving squad depth.

Despite financial caution, the recruitment strategy remains focused on signing young talents with long-term potential—a vision reflected in the January arrivals of Ayden Heaven (£1.5m from Arsenal) and Patrick Dorgu (£25.3m from Lecce).
