Paul Pogba has sparked speculation about a potential return to Manchester United once his 18-month suspension for using a banned substance ends in March.
Initially handed a four-year ban for testing positive for DHEA—a substance that increases endogenous testosterone—after Juventus’ match against Udinese in August 2023, Pogba’s suspension was reduced to 18 months following an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
The 31-year-old midfielder became a free agent in November after Juventus terminated his contract.
Currently training in Miami, Pogba has fueled rumours of a third stint at Old Trafford.
He recently shared an Instagram story featuring a cartoon of himself alongside Amad, both wearing Manchester United kits.
Another post showed him gazing over the Miami skyline, captioned: “Let’s see what’s coming...”

Future Plans and Transfer Speculation

Pogba is reportedly eager to secure a new club before the January transfer window closes, with several teams showing interest. However, his immediate future remains undecided.
Marseille has emerged as a potential destination, with former United teammate Mason Greenwood expressing enthusiasm about a reunion.
Speaking to Telefoot, Greenwood said:“He’s a great man, a professional who took me under his wing. He’s a top player. Any team in Europe would love to have him. If he came here, it would be great.”
Marseille manager Roberto De Zerbi has also addressed the speculation.
When asked about Pogba last month, De Zerbi said: “I would like to have only champions in my team. Pogba has always been a champion, but honestly, in discussions with my staff, we’ve never spoken about him.
“In January, we need players to address our current needs. Of course, if champions arrive, we’ll make space for them and ensure they fit into the team.
"That wouldn’t be a problem for me—when you have top players, the problem lies with the opponents.”
As Pogba prepares for his return, all eyes are on his next move, with fans and clubs alike awaiting news of where the World Cup winner will continue his career.
