Marcus Rashford's potential January transfer from Manchester United to AC Milan has hit a major hurdle.
The 27-year-old forward is expected to leave Old Trafford this month after falling out of favour with manager Ruben Amorim.
Rashford has not featured for United since the Europa League victory over Viktoria Plzen on December 12. Amorim, speaking on Sunday, admitted uncertainty over whether Rashford would play for the club again.
Several clubs have expressed interest in Rashford, including Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham Hotspur.
However, AC Milan has emerged as the frontrunner, with Milan advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic publicly stating his eagerness to engage Rashford in discussions about a move to the San Siro.

Okafor’s Collapsed Leipzig Move Creates a Challenge

Rashford's anticipated move to Milan, however, could hit a roadblock after news that Milan forward Noah Okafor’s proposed transfer to RB Leipzig has fallen through.
The Switzerland international was set to join the Bundesliga side on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season, a move that would have freed up space in Sergio Conceicao's squad.
Okafor had even traveled to Leipzig for medical tests on Monday.
However, Sky Sports reporter Philipp Hinze revealed that the transfer was canceled due to medical concerns that indicated the 24-year-old would be unavailable for an extended period. As a result, Okafor has returned to Milan.

Limited Space in Milan’s Attack

The collapse of Okafor’s move leaves Milan with an overcrowded attack, featuring players like Rafael Leao, Christian Pulisic, Tammy Abraham, Samuel Chukwueze, and Alvaro Morata.
This makes it more challenging for the club to accommodate Rashford, both in terms of squad depth and financial considerations.
While Milan remains a strong contender, the situation with Okafor could delay or complicate negotiations.
Borussia Dortmund, Tottenham, and other suitors may now see an opportunity to advance their own pursuit of the England international.
Rashford’s next move is still up in the air, but with Milan’s latest setback, his chances of joining the Serie A giants this month may have taken a significant hit.
