Hojlund 'consolation'
Peter Schmeichel was spotted consoling struggling striker Rasmus Hojlund outside Old Trafford after United's 2-1 loss to Arsenal. The Dane failed to find the net once more and was seen speaking with the club legend post-match. United fans will hope it's a turning point for their misfiring forward.
United have reportedly proposed Hojlund as part of a deal to snare Victor Osimhen from Napoli. Italian journalist Luca Cerchione claims that Antonio Conte is a huge fan of the Danish striker, who could return to Serie A. The Red Devils are said to have offered Hojlund plus cash to land their top target.
Osimhen blow
Victor Osimhen would reportedly be ‘receptive’ to a move to Manchester United this summer. The Napoli striker, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has been heavily linked with a switch to Old Trafford. TEAMtalk claim that United are pushing to sign Osimhen and have received encouragement, but PSG, Chelsea, and Juventus are also in the mix.
But David Ornstein believes that Manchester United are unlikely to part ways with Rasmus Hojlund in any deal for Victor Osimhen. Speaking on the Sky Sports podcast, he said: "I expect Osimhen to leave Napoli and Manchester United have been linked, but I'm not sure how realistic it is for Manchester United to let go of Rasmus Hojlund. I think they would want to build the team around him."
Al-Ahli in for Casemiro
SunSport revealed that Al-Ahli are plotting a summer swoop for Manchester United star Casemiro. The Saudi Pro League side are preparing an offer which they hope can tempt United into selling. Casemiro, 33, has struggled for consistency this season and could be offloaded as part of a squad rebuild.
Raphinha race
Manchester United have made an offer of £58million (70m euros) to sign Barcelona star Raphinha, according to reports in Spain. The Brazilian winger, 28, is also a target for Arsenal and Chelsea, but United appear to be in pole position with their bid. Barca are open to selling as they look to balance the books, with Raphinha's contract running until 2027.
