Speaking after the defeat, Amorim defended Zirkzee while addressing United’s struggles in front of goal: "I think it is sometimes the quality of the players... Bruno, Casemiro, and Josh [Zirkzee] are improving a lot. He’s fighting for every ball. It’s the quality of the players that helps us create more chances."
The United boss reaffirmed the club’s long-term ambition, despite another setback: "The goal is to win the Premier League. I don't know how long it will take, but that's our goal. No matter what, we continue forward."
