Manchester United have a "great chance of top four" in the Premier League says
Roy Keane who still believes they need a "bigger and better" manager than
Michael Carrick.
Matheus Cunha scored a stunning late goal as
Manchester United completed a thrilling
3-2 comeback win at the Emirates to beat Arsenal.
And afterwards Keane felt United "would get something" from the game even if more likely a draw, while with the momentum they now have, they are well placed to go on and win a Champions League place.
"Players are back, they've a full group, there are full weeks, there are no distractions and they can concentrate on their league form," said Keane.
"They are producing but as you know if you win one or two games, fantastic, particularly if you beat City and you come to Arsenal. I felt United would get a result today, I was thinking more of a draw but I thought United would turn up and they have enough quality players.
"They've got momentum now in the season and all of a sudden you are thinking there's a great chance of top four. One or two months ago you were thinking no don't think they will do it.
"Once they play with that confidence and belief then you give the manager credit and you give the staff credit. Players are turning up."
But when he was asked by Micah Richards on Sky if he would give the job full time to Carrick, he scoffed at the idea.
"You are being silly now. Two great performances but anyone can win two games, it's what he does at the end of the season," Keane continued.
"Even if they do get into fourth I still wouldn't be convinced he is the man for the job absolutely. I still think they need a bigger and better manager but he has the opportunity, what a chance it is for him and he has taken it so fair play to him."
