Louis Saha has blasted Marcus Rashford for his behaviour, calling it "ridiculous" following the Manchester United forward’s controversial actions.
Rashford shocked the club in December by publicly stating his desire to leave Old Trafford in an interview that United reportedly had no knowledge of.
Manager Ruben Amorim was angered by Rashford going public before discussing the matter with him directly.
Rashford is now seeking a loan move before the January transfer window closes.
But Saha, a former United striker, believes the player's approach has been unprofessional.
Speaking to Paddy Power, Saha expressed his disappointment, saying: "I'm torn about the Marcus Rashford situation because his interview frustrated me so much.
"I don’t even want to comment because I genuinely love the boy; I respect his talent and understand the challenges he faces.
"But at this level of professionalism, being the star of the club and the city, this behaviour is just ridiculous!
"It hasn’t helped him, the club, or the team—no one, except maybe an agent or another club. It’s not a good look.
"We've seen this kind of thing before with Jadon Sancho, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Paul Pogba. Why repeat it?
"Rashford’s comments don’t achieve anything positive. They only create difficulties for the manager, who is trying to build his own team and establish a solid foundation.
"Rashford isn’t helping him or the club by doing this."
Saha also supported Amorim’s decision to sideline Rashford, adding: "I agree with Ruben Amorim’s stance to remove the distraction.
"The manager doesn’t need to face questions about this every week. The club doesn’t need this drama, and I genuinely don’t understand why Rashford felt the need to speak out in this way."
The situation leaves Rashford’s future at United uncertain as he waits to see if a loan move materializes before the transfer deadline.
