Manchester United fullback Tyrell Malacia is wanted by several European clubs and a decision will have to be made on his future.
Borussia Dortmund and Lyon are two of the clubs looking at the 25-year-old with Ruben Amorim still uncertain whether he has a long-term future at Old Trafford.
Dilemma
Amorim is facing a number of big decisions at Old Trafford with the club faltering in many areas when he took over.
Erik ten Hag's task was made more difficult by injuries and many players have now returned including Malacia - who has spent plenty of time at Old Trafford in the treatment room.
He showed plenty of promise at Feyenoord and has not been able to deliver on that so far at United. He was given a chance in the Europa League last Thursday where he was understandably rusty.
And now with Dortmund and Lyon interested, the club may consider selling him in January.
Comeback
Malacia joined United in July, 2022, for a £14.7 million deal, with the help of Erik ten Hag's Dutch connections.
After a torrid spell due to injuries, Malacia made a comeback in the Europa League win over Bodo Glimt, where he played the first half before being replaced.
As the left wing-back position is an area Amorim has marked for immediate improvement, the potential sale of Malacia could provide funds necessary to secure a replacement.
However, it remains unclear how much United is demanding before they agree to sell him.
Candidates on United's shortlist to boost the left wing-back position include Milos Kerkez, Alphonso Davies, and Alvaro Fernandez Carreras. Liverpool has already expressed interest in Kerkez, adding extra pressure for a quick decision from United.
