Bruno Fernandes says why he believes the referee didn't give the Amad Diallo penalty in Manchester United's draw with Bournemouth.
United went ahead through a penalty from Bruno Fernandes after Matheus Cunha was hauled down in the box and then Amad Diallo was pulled back in the box but a spot-kick wasn't given.
Ryan Christie quickly equalised before the Reds restored their lead from a Bournemouth own goal from a corner.
And then there was further controversy with Harry Maguire sent off for pulling back Evanilson and Junior Kroupi scored the penalty.
"I'm disappointed, I think we did enough to win the three points and we ended up finishing the game suffering and trying not to concede a goal," said Fernandes aferwards.
"There was frustration because we could have gone two goals up but instead we conceded another goal."
And Fernandes went on to say why he believed the referee didn't give the second penalty.
We didn't get a penalty and then we have a penalty given which was the same as that of Amad, I know it is difficult for a referee to give two penalties in the same game for the same team but I don't know why VAR doesn't get involved," said Fernandes.
On the Amad decision he said that the winger was "pulled or pushed" which led to him being off balance.
And he added how it is "frustrating" for smaller players as he says they find it harder to get calls from the referee.
Fernandes said: "It is very frustrating for the small players because they say it is very soft on the small player and with the bigger player they end up giving the falls."
The draw means that United still remain in third place in the Premier League table and well placed for a Champions League place with the next game against against Leeds on April 13.
