Bruno Fernandes tells of "swinging his arms" like David Beckham in the garden after beating the Manchester United legend's assist record.
The Portuguese has racked up 100 assists in a United shirt, by setting up two of the goals in the 3-1 victory over Aston Villa.
He was the supplier for Casemiro's header and Matheus Cunha's slick finish, before Benjamin Sesko made the points safe with a third.
And after the game he told how it was a big win in the fight for a Champions League place.
"It was important because we were against a direct opponent with the same points so getting that advantage is good and also after the last game where we didn't get the three points," he said.
"We did the job I still think we can do much better."
And on the way United went about the game he added: "It was about following our plan, we did it very well, we knew they had a high line, so we had to make sure our runs were on point."
On beating Beckham's tally from 1999/2000 of assists, Fernandes continued: "Obviously, it's very nice.
"It's a very good achievement. We're talking about one of the best players, certainly strikers of anyone of the ball into the box. So I'm very pleased to do that.
"It's not going to change anything for what I want but being there with a name who, obviously, was one of the players everyone looks up to, in the way of crossing and the way of passing.
"Like everyone in their own garden I tried to do it like Beckham and was doing it, even if you're just swinging your arm, like he used to do it, not as much the ball!
"I'm obviously very happy to do that [beat his record]."
