Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho has reportedly reached an agreement over a move to Napoli.
The 20-year-old's future at Old Trafford has been the subject of uncertainty due to United’s rising concerns about meeting the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
Despite being United's top scorer this season with eight goals in 30 appearances across all competitions, Garnacho has found himself playing a reduced role under manager Ruben Amorim, often used as an impact substitute.
This is a stark contrast to his prominence under former boss Erik ten Hag and has reportedly left the Argentine frustrated, particularly as Amad has overtaken him in the pecking order.

Napoli Agreement in Principle

According to Calciomercato, Garnacho has agreed in principle to join Napoli after the club’s sporting director, Giovanni Manna, met with his representatives in Barcelona this week.
The report suggests Garnacho is tempted by the prospect of working under Antonio Conte in Naples.
The proposed deal reportedly includes a five-year contract worth around £2.5 million per year after tax, slightly less than his current salary of £2.6 million at United.
The contract is said to feature incremental increases over the course of his stay at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Napoli’s Search for Kvaratskhelia Replacement

Napoli are actively seeking a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who is on the verge of completing a £59 million move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Garnacho has emerged as a priority target for the Serie A champions, but their president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, is reportedly unwilling to meet United’s valuation of the player, which exceeds Napoli’s £42 million offer.
Garnacho’s potential move would see him reunite with former United midfielder Scott McTominay, who joined Napoli last summer for £26 million to help fund United's acquisition of Manuel Ugarte.

United's Next Moves in the Transfer Market

Regardless of Garnacho’s future, United are reportedly preparing to strengthen Ruben Amorim’s attack. RMC Sport claims United have joined Arsenal and Tottenham in expressing interest in Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo.
The 25-year-old has been in sensational form this season and is valued at £42 million by Transfermarkt, though his actual price tag is likely to be higher.
Mbeumo’s versatility, capable of playing as a central striker or as an inside forward, makes him an ideal fit for Amorim’s 3-4-3 system.
With United actively exploring options, the next two weeks could see significant movement in the transfer market as they seek to bolster their squad for the second half of the season.
