Man Utd striker Marcus Rashford will only join Barcelona 'if guarantee is met'

Marcus Rashford wants to join Barcelona but he has now made it clear he wants a "guarantee" to be met.

His future at Manchester United is hanging in the balance as the 27-year-old forward pushes for a move to Barcelona, and he is setting out clear demands as negotiations between the two clubs intensify.

Rashford demands guaranteed minutes and continuity, as he believes this is the only way he can regain his best form and return to the England national team’s plans for the 2026 World Cup, adds the report.

The club is said to value Rashford at under €50 million (£43 million), recognizing the need to offload high earners and reshape the squad under new manager Ruben Amorim.

As a homegrown player, any sale of Rashford would represent pure profit in United’s financial books, providing a timely boost as they look to comply with Premier League regulations and fund new signings.

Barcelona, having missed out on targets like Nico Williams and Liverpool’s Luis Diaz, have made Rashford a priority and are in direct contact with his representatives.

However, due to LaLiga’s strict registration rules and the club’s ongoing budget issues, they are exploring a loan deal with an option to buy rather than a permanent transfer upfront.
