Benjamin Sesko says why his Manchester United goal felt so special in the 1-0 victory at Everton.
The Slovenia striker has yet to start in Michael Carrick’s six matches in charge but has now scored two winners and snatched a late equaliser to maintain the interim boss' unbeaten start.
He was made to wait until just before the hour mark to replace Amad Diallo but made an impact within 13 minutes by getting on the end of a direct counter-attack in a rare moment of incisiveness from the visitors.
It was enough to secure a fifth win in six matches and move United into fourth, only three points behind Aston Villa.
Speaking afterwards, Sesko said the win was special as it was such an important game and "really tough@".
He said: "Feels amazing to help the team again and to secure the win, it's more than a perfect feeling. Especially now as it was a really important game and as it was really tough it feels even better.
"Everyone was really fighting, they put maximum amount of effort and that's why it paid off in the end.
"Especially towards the end of the game, a lot of corners, a lot of fighting and that's what won us the game - we were fighting to the end and secured the win."
And on his goal, he said it was a dream come true to be scoring for United and he is already now looking forward to the next game at home.
Sesko continued: "It was unbelievable, the emotions, the feeling, just to score for Manchester United is the best that I was always imagining and dreaming and every time I am doing it, it feels unbelievable.
"I'm looking forward to the next game already at home, with our own people and to keep going with the streak."
