Manchester United along with two other Premier League clubs are fighting it out with Real Madrid over a £80m-rated defender.
According to reports, preparations for a summer transfer are already in the works. A significant transformation in the team's lineup is expected in summer, with potential departures of two centre-backs.
The current contract of both Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof will come to an end after this season and it is suggested that neither will be given new contracts.

United's Hunt for Leipzig’s Castello Lukeba

United are reportedly interested in RB Leipzig’s defender, Castello Lukeba, alongside Premier League rivals Liverpool and Chelsea. Christian Falk of BILD states all three clubs are aiming to interfere with Real Madrid’s plans to acquire Lukeba.
Following Lukeba's contract extension in October, his release clause now stands at €90m for the upcoming transfer window.

Real Madrid Seeking an Established Centre-back

Real Madrid has long been in search of a solid centre-back to bolster their defence. Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba, who are turning 30, and Nacho, who has already left for Saudi Arabia last summer, signify the need for a young center back.
Lukeba was listed by AS as being on Real Madrid’s radar ahead of the winter window. However, Manchester United and their Premier League rivals may have a chance if Real Madrid decide to bypass the opportunity to sign Lukeba.

Key Players Back for Everton game

Meanwhile, Ruben Amorim, has received a significant triple injury boost ahead of the team's upcoming Premier League clash against Everton.
He confirmed on Friday that Leny Yoro, Manuel Ugarte, and Christian Eriksen are fit and could potentially feature in Saturday's match.
This trio's return comes as a major boost for United following their defeat at Tottenham Hotspur last Sunday. When questioned about the players' recovery, Amorim confirmed, "They are fit and available for United's final visit to Goodison Park."
