Victor Osimhen currently lighting up the Turkish Super Lig with Galatasaray, is on Manchester United's radar.
Despite a recent two-game goal drought, the 26-year-old has accumulated an impressive 17 goals and five assists in 23 appearances this season, attracting attention from multiple European clubs including the Premier League titan.
Galatasaray made an attempt to secure Osimhen on a permanent deal by offering €65 million to Napoli, the Italian club that currently holds the player's contract. Napoli, however, rejected the offer.
Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, a Turkish journalist, reports that both Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have now tabled verbal contract offers for Osimhen.
Both clubs are allegedly prepared to trigger his €75 million release clause. How the striker has responded, however, remains undisclosed.
If the forward signs a deal with a renowned management company, as Sabuncuoglu suggests he might, then it would significantly reduce the chances of him staying at Galatasaray beyond this season.
Both PSG and United have made verbal offers regarding salary and contract length. Since both clubs are willing to meet Napoli's release clause, it will be incredibly difficult for Galatasaray to compete. It seems a summer move is almost certain for Osimhen.

At What Cost?

Despite the strong links, there are questions over whether United can actually afford Osimhen due to their well-documented financial struggles.
Coupled with underperformance from attackers like Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund, the club is under pressure to bring in fresh firepower. As United grapples with their financial challenges, Osimhen's potential move to the club remains a hot topic in the football world.
Meanwhile United have reportedly joined the race to sign Liam Delap from Ipswich, says The Athletic.
The young striker has shown impressive form in his debut Premier League season, scoring nine goals for Ipswich.
Delap's performance this season has caught the attention of several clubs. His aggressive running strategy is rumoured to be appealing to the management at United. Ipswich, however, would likely demand a heavy fee for his transfer, especially if the team faces relegation.
United would have to overcome the interest from Chelsea to secure the 22-year-old striker. Manchester City also holds a £40million buyback clause in Delap's contract, complicating the potential deal further.
United's Technical Director, Jason Wilcox has past relations with Delap, having brought him to Man City in 2019 from Derby. This connection might contribute to United's chances of landing the young talent.
Alongside the interest in Delap, United have set their sights on several attacking options. They have been keeping track of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha. The club may potentially fund these moves by transferring one of their homegrown talents.
