Darren Fletcher says he has brought in a former teammate who is a "familiar face" to work with him at Manchester United.
Former Reds defender Jonny Evans is assisting Fletcher in Wednesday's Premier League clash at Burnley. He had two spells with United before retiring from football at the end of last season.
The Northern Irishman remained with the Reds as head of loans and pathways before recently parting company - but now returns in Fletcher's backroom staff.
Fletcher said: "[He is] somebody who has a great association with the club, recently played, knows the players, is comfortable in the environment and a familiar face for the group and the players as well.
Under-21s boss Travis Binnion and recent addition to the Academy coaching set-up, Alan Wright, will also form part of the coaching team for the Turf Moor fixture, which kicks off at 8.15pm tomorrow.
When asked about who was assisting him, Fletcher replied: "So Travis Binnion, who leads the Under-21s, who I started my coaching career with in the Academy, whom I’ve know for five years that I've been here.
"I actually couldn't ask for anybody better beside me than Travis, we’ve got such a close relationship together, for such a long time, [he is] somebody I respect, somebody who I've learned a lot from.
"His assistant, Alan Wright, who is newly joined [at] the club as well, so the Under-21s staff come and join me, and Jonny Evans has come in to help as well."
Fletcher gave team news for the game saying that Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount are both fit to return after missing recent games.
But Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo are still in the treatment room - while Amad Diallo, Bryan Mbeumo and Noussair Mazraoui are still away at the Africa Cup of Nations.
