FC United of Manchester is preparing to host a legends match to mark the anniversary of its founding.
It will be the first ever fixture between representatives of both teams and the game, dubbed 'a momentous fixture', will take place at Broadhurst Park later this year.
Manchester United icon Wes Brown leads a star-studded legends team who are set to face off against FC United of Manchester's Red Rebels in front of a home crowd.
The grand event is part of a celebration for the 20th anniversary of FC United of Manchester.
FC United of Manchester was formed in 2005 by Manchester United fans who disapproved of the Glazer takeover.
Despite the separation, the umbilical bond that links the two clubs remains strong, as a spokesman symbolically put, 'There are two United's but the soul is one.' FC United stands proud as a fan-owned democratic organisation.

Anticipating the Historic Players

Fans are eager to witness key players who contributed to their teams' development. FC United's line-up features their top goalscorer Tom Greaves, most-capped player Jerome Wright, and the FA Cup hero Michael Norton.
Additionally, former head Dave Brown and fan-favourite Joz Mitten from the club's inaugural season will play.
For the United legends, players alongside Wes Brown include fellow Treble winner David May, 1990 FA Cup Final goal-scorer Lee Martin, the '80s cult hero Russell Beardsmore, Keith Gilespie and Danny Webber. More players are expected to be announced as the day draws closer.
It comes at a time when the Glazers remain very much in the spotlight with the losses that have amounted to £1billion since their takeover and at the same time is struggling badly on the pitch.
Sir Jim Glazer came in to take over footballing matters from the Glazers last year but the situation has actually gone from bad to worse.
