Ruben Amorim says the
win over Newcastle was the most satisfying for the way
Manchester United "suffered together" as they now prepare to face Wolves.
United could further strengthen their place in the European positions with back-to-back wins if they come out on top against rock-bottom Wolves who they have already beaten this month.
It was a rampant performance as United came out 4-1 at Molineux in their last game but they are now missing Bruno Fernandes and Bryan Mbeumo who scored three of those goals.
And Amorim believes that the 1-0 Boxing Day win over Newcastle was the best yet because so many players were missing.
"Yes especially if you see the second half we managed to defend sometimes with a back six but we suffered together and that is a good feeling," said Amorim.
"I am always talking about when we have a good performance and we are here talking about the game, if we always have this (attitude) we are going to win so many games.
"So I think it is something that we need to feel that we can win sometimes without playing so well. We can win games with a spirit with a togetherness in the team."
It was also notable that United have converted to a back four during phases of recent games which definitely appear to have improved the performances.
Against Newcastle Lisandro Martinez and Ayden Heaven both looked strong at centre half while Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw were full-backs.
And Amorim said: "I think in the first half, we showed that, I felt it was the only way to create more danger and to have opportunities, with a back four.
"Lots of guys inside, even to keep the ball. I remember the game last year [against Newcastle], we lost one against one on the outside. So we just tried to imagine the game to help the players feel comfortable."
And he added: "Clean sheet. Back four. So I think I don't need a press conference. Kobbie [Mainoo] is injured, so I think that's all the subjects. We can go home (...) Three points then, tomorrow, nobody is going to remember how the game was. So let's go the next one."
