Manchester United have been linked with Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi as part of their long-term attacking rebuild under Rúben Amorim.
The Reds' recruitment team are understood to be assessing several forwards ahead of next season, and Adeyemi has emerged as one of the names on their scouting list.
The 23-year-old is viewed as a player with the pace, work rate and direct running that aligns with Amorim’s high-energy system. He has hit three goals in 14 games for Dortmund so far this season.
His ability to play across the front line — particularly off the right or as a wide forward — also appeals to United’s hierarchy as they prepare for future transitions in the attacking department.
Adeyemi has faced an inconsistent spell at Dortmund, but remains highly regarded for his raw attributes and ceiling. His blistering acceleration, defensive pressing, and ability to carry the ball through tight spaces have long marked him as one of Europe’s brightest young attacking talents.
Though his goal output has fluctuated, scouts remain convinced his physical and technical profile makes him well-suited to the Premier League.
Adeyemi is on a list of attacking profiles United are exploring, with the club seeking to add depth and variety to their forward options.
While no formal bid or negotiation has taken place, the club are said to be tracking his situation closely — particularly as Dortmund may be open to reshaping their squad in the coming windows.
Dortmund’s valuation is expected to be substantial, with previous estimates placing Adeyemi’s price tag between £35–50 million, depending on bonuses and contract structure. United would likely consider a move only if outgoing transfers create room within both the wage bill and the tactical structure.
For now, Adeyemi remains one of several forwards being monitored, but the interest signals United’s intent to build a younger, faster, more dynamic frontline. As Amorim continues to shape the squad with a focus on mobility and pressing intensity, Adeyemi fits the mould of the kind of player United want heading into the next phase of their rebuild.
