Rasmus Højlund and Kyle Walker had a confrontation during Sunday's derby. Højlund made a post on social media mocking Walker after the match. The two players nearly came to blows thirty-seven minutes into the game, leading other players to attempt to break it up.
Referee Anthony Taylor issued both of them a yellow card. The incident was analyzed by Lee Dixon during the broadcast, pointing out that it was not a headbutt and accusing Walker of exaggerating the event. Despite this, Højlund and his team ended up winning the match in the final stages of the second half.
Højlund later voiced his views on the incident on Instagram with the caption below:
Manchester is red
Violets are blue
What a brilliant performance
But the Oscar goes to…
He hinted that Walker exaggerated his reaction in an attempt to get him dismissed for aggressive behavior. The post included a carousel of two photos showing the squabble between the two players.

Ruben Amorim might not be satisfied with how his first derby with Manchester unfolded, but he was happy with the victory. He was impressed by the resilience of his team, as he continues to implement his tactics and identify the players that will suit them best. Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho were both left out of the game-day squad.
For Pep Guardiola, this represents another loss in a disappointing run that has seen him secure only one win in his last 11 matches across various tournaments this season. Having yet another defeat, especially to a direct rival, marks a worsening of an already poor series of performances.
