Benjamin Sesko's header appeared to given
Manchester United victory before an injury time equaliser from Everton in a 2-2 draw.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles' late strike cruelly denied United a second Premier League win in a row.
The Reds had controlled the first half without creating many clear-cut chances, and went closest with a
Bruno Fernandes shot which hit the crossbar.
They didn't take long to break the deadlock in the second half, however.
Bryan Mbeumo collected a pass on the touchline and cutting inside before finishing from 20 yards.
Tyrique George slammed in an equaliser with Lammens beaten at his near post, before Sesko headed home.
Player ratings
Senne Lammens: Hesitant on one early cross but then showed good handling before being beaten by George's shot. It had a lot of power but Lammens should have done better. Nothing he could do about the second equaliser. 5
Diogo Dalot: Much better on the ball than Mazraoui and gives the team more balance. 6
Harry Maguire: Took a nasty blow to the face in the first couple of minutes and got caught under a cross from which Barry should have scored, but solid aside from that. 6
Lisandro Martinez: Showed his passing range again and did fine even though he was giving away height to Barry. He could have done better though for Everton's first goal. 6
Luke Shaw: Good defensively, including one great block, and linked up well with Rashford at times. Excellent cross for Sesko's goal but his problem continues to be a lack of pace. 6
Kobbie Mainoo: Controlled the game for United with his passing and movement but can still do more to impose himself and lead. 7
Youri Tielemans: Clearly has plenty of talent but he is physically not quick and drifted out of the game at times. 6
Bryan Mbeumo: An odd game, a little like last week. Not at the races in the first half but came alive when it mattered most to score again and it was an excellent individual goal. 7
Bruno Fernandes: Hit the bar with a well-executed volley and did well to find space in midfield, particularly in the first half when he spread the play to the left. 7
Marcus Rashford: Built on a tidy showing last week and tormented Rohl. Combined well with Shaw but was happy to run at his man as well. 8
Matheus Cunha: Should have done better with a first-half chance from Rashford's cut-back, and didn't do enough to unsettle the Everton defence. 6
