Manchester United drew 1-1 with Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday.
Antoine Semenyo opened the scoring with a crisp left-footed strike after a neat lay-off from teammate Evanilson.
Alejandro Garnacho had a great opportunity to equalise but his lobbed effort was turned away by Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Dango Ouattara nearly doubled the home side’s lead just before the hour mark as his whipped free-kick crashed off the woodwork.
Evanilson was sent off with 20 minutes to play after referee Peter Bankes upgraded his yellow card to a red following a pitchside monitor review of a challenge on Noussair Mazraoui. Mason Mount, Bruno Fernandes and Chido Obi went close to bringing
United level before Rasmus Hojlund made it 1-1 late on.
Here are how the players rated at the Vitality Stadium:
Andre Onana
Copped it from a couple of teammates over his goal kicks and mistiming a punch typified his meek afternoon. 5
Leny Yoro
Some sloppy moments in the first half but one of the more accomplished on the ball and United could have maximised his sense of adventure more. 6
Harry Maguire
The most secure of the back three, which was reflected by the call to take him off after 65 minutes. Maguire was an occasional set-piece threat. 6
Luke Shaw
His first start in 434 days and it still looked too early. Played Patrick Dorgu into trouble for the opening goal. Ploughed on and contributed to the equaliser. 5
Noussair Mazraoui
Moved forward to the right wing and predictably offered little in attack. Recovered from Evanilson's foul that warranted a red card. 5
Casemiro
This was a reminder of his weaknesses in a more intense contest in the Premier League. Came off after an hour to save him for Athletic Bilbao. 5
Kobbie Mainoo
Showed lovely fleet of foot to create an opening to shoot straight at Arrizabalaga. One of the few sharp starters. 6
Patrick Dorgu
Lost the ball for the Semenyo's goal and was clearly unsettled by Bournemouth's high press. Had a stint on the right wing. Harshly booked. 4
Alejandro Garnacho
Had United's best chance in the first half but his effort was clawed away by Arrizabalaga. Shot wide with his left foot. 5
Bruno Fernandes
Went direct to give Garnacho his chance in the first half. Resorted to the hit-and-hope tactic too often. Came so close to levelling in added time before Hojlund's strike. 5
Rasmus Hojlund
Hojlund was largely anonymous. Scored a few in the shooting practice and those threatened to be his only shots until his quick-thinking prod in added time. 6
Subs
Victor Lindelof
Had little defending to do. 6
Mason Mount
Had one shot charged down and then a second goalbound strike blocked. 6
Manuel Ugarte
Embarked on a gutsy charge forward. 7
Chido Obi
Had a decent chance seconds after coming on. 6
Christian Eriksen
Involved in late attacks. 5
Manager
Picked his strongest side available on seniority but Harry Amass was more deserving of a start than Shaw, whose inclusion caused confusion. 6
