Casemiro was cheered throughout in his final game at Old Trafford as
Manchester United won 3-2 against Nottingham Forest and here is how the players rated.
United took an early lead when Luke Shaw finished brilliantly for his first goal in more than three years, but the game came alive after the break.
Morato equalised for Forest before Matheus Cunha restored the lead after a lengthy VAR check.
Bryan Mbeumo then scored from a
Bruno Fernandes cross as the captain equalled the Premier League assist record of 20, but Morgan Gibbs-White responded for Forest as the goals kept flowing.
Player ratings
Senne Lammens: One excellent save in the first half to deny Gibbs-White. Off his line quickly in the second and his handling was excellent throughout. 8
Diogo Dalot: Improvement in the build-up play was obvious with Dalot in the side. Keeps it simple but helped United progress the ball forward. 7
Harry Maguire: Shaky start but grew into the game and was solid against Wood, showing aggression in his defending and winning plenty of headers. 7
Lisandro Martinez: Much better than last week and his confidence on the ball and crispness in his passing was improved. Handled Jesus well. 7
Luke Shaw: Early goal gave him confidence. Took it brilliantly and defended very well after that. Deserved moment in the spotlight and on course to start every Premier League game of the season. 8
Casemiro: Could have had a goal in the first half, when his passing radar was a little bit off. Improved after the break and seemed to be enjoying his farewell. 7
Kobbie Mainoo: One of his quieter games recently. Kept things simple and progressed the ball well without doing anything spectacular. 7
Amad: A slightly better performance but he continues to be wayward with his passing and dribbling in an open game which should have been perfect for him. 5
Bruno Fernandes: Created enough chances to have broken that record by some distance. Mbeumo should have scored before he did and another brilliantly creative performance. 9
Matheus Cunha: Took his goal well, a really cool finish in front of the Stretford End. Deserved an assist for a good ball through to Mbeumo in the first half. 7
Bryan Mbeumo: Will feel relieved he got a goal from a Fernandes assist having missed an excellent chance before then. Similarly to Amad he has not been at his best recently. 6
Substitutes
Patrick Dorgu: Nearly scored, always a willing runner but also gave the ball away. 6
Mason Mount: Late run-out. 6
Joshua Zirkzee: Going through a difficult time with a lack of confidence and badly needs a boost from a goal. 5
