David de Gea has issued a message to
Bruno Fernandez ahead of
Manchester United's preseason clash with Fiorentina saying "he won't score".
Beforehand on Saturday, a pre-match presentation will be held to honour De Gea on his return to United.
In a light-hearted Instagram post De Gea said to Bruno: "You know you can't score against me, and if you score it is because I let you score."
The Reds face Fiorentina on Saturday in a final pre-season friendly of the summer. They have returned from the United States this week and trained at Carrington, as preparations continue ahead of the new Premier League season.
Ruben Amorim has already welcomed three new faces in Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Diego Leon, with the trio settling in well on tour.
Next up is the visit of Italian opposition, with former goalkeeper David De Gea set to be welcomed back in M16 this weekend.
Cunha, Mbeumo and Leon could be set to make their Old Trafford debuts in front of a considerable crowd, with over 56,000 tickets now sold.
Bruno Fernandes is also hoping to be involved, and the captain was recently voted star performer in the United States, said
ManUtd.com. Tyler Fredricson, Chido Obi, Jack Fletcher, Bendito Mantato and Ethan Williams all featured Stateside and will be desperate for more game time before the campaign kicks off.
In terms of returning
players, it remains to be seen if Joshua Zirkzee and Andre Onana feature, with both players working hard in their recoveries.
Lisandro Martinez has also been working individually but will be a little further away from a return after suffering a knee injury back in February.
Fiorentina
Saturday's visitors have been busy this summer, with over a dozen players departing, including former Reds midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.
The Tuscans have added eight new names to the squad, the most recognisable being the veteran Bosnian forward, Edin Dzeko.
They have played two matches already in England during pre-season, losing 2-0 at Leicester and completing a goalless draw with Nottingham Forest.
