Carlos Baleba has been pictured stepping up his recovery at Carrington as he works towards making his first appearance for Manchester United.
The Cameroon international has been seen in the gym and out on the grass at United’s training base, offering a positive glimpse of his progress since completing his move to Old Trafford.
Baleba joined United from Brighton & Hove Albion on 25 August, signing a contract until June 2031, with the option to extend his stay for a further year.
However, the midfielder has yet to make his debut after carrying an ankle problem into his move from the Seagulls.
Baleba picked up the injury during pre-season and was ruled out of contention for United’s four matches since his arrival, including the Reds’ meeting with his former club.
Michael Carrick confirmed shortly after Baleba’s arrival that the issue was known before the transfer and was not considered a major concern.
“He’s got a little ankle issue,” Carrick said. “But we knew that before, so it’s no major issue. It will be great to have him back.

“We’ll wait and see. We’re hopeful but I don’t want to put any deadlines on it just yet.”
United have been cautious with the 21-year-old as he continues his rehabilitation, but the latest images show Baleba putting in the work as he looks to return to full fitness.
The midfielder was one of Brighton’s standout players before earning his move to Old Trafford and is expected to add physicality, athleticism and energy to Carrick’s midfield once available.
For now, Baleba’s focus is firmly on his recovery.
His latest appearance on the grass at Carrington will be welcomed by United supporters who have been waiting to see their new signing in action.
There is still no confirmed date for his return, with Carrick previously making it clear that the club would not rush him back.
But with Baleba now combining gym work with sessions on the grass, the wait to see the Cameroon international in a United shirt is at least moving in the right direction.
