Two days before the Reds embark on their European leg of their pre-season tour, Wayne Rooney has finally returned and trained with all of his team mates for the first time. Rooney was given an extended break after his exertions during Euro 2012 with England, Sir Alex was aware not to rush Rooney back in order to prevent him burning out both physically and mentally. Hopefully, 'Wazza' is now refreshed and ready to grapple the title back from our noisy neighbours.
Along with Rooney and the other Euro players returning to training today, David de Gea has now rejoined the squad after exiting the Olympics with Spain. As for the game on Sunday, Sir Alex has given some indication to his back four and if they all stay fit for the next few weeks, then it seems that our back four vs Everton will be, Jones at right back with Ferdinand and Vidic back together for the first time in over 8 months, then Evra continuing his amazing run at left back.
